I'm NOT an audiophile at all...but I know a little. So I need some help here. I want to change out my sub and put in 2 GOOD 10's instead of one not-so-clean 12". I have this installed right now: Alpine IVA-C800 6.5" LCD Multimedia Center

12in. Kicker Competition Sub (Custom Sealed Box) I really want to go the "proven" route here without breaking the bank. You ALL know I spend too much on this Z as it is. I hate how stereo stuff just adds up...but that's life. I mean, first it's sub, then I need new amps, a new box, caps, etc! Argh! Anyway, I was thinking about JL. They are proven and quite nice. I can go better but no one contests JL's quality and overall performance. There's too much bickering on other products back and forth. So, what JL's are good for loud clean sound? If there are different models, what are the price ranges or comparisions? If the 10W whatever is twice as much as a 10W whatever, I want to know this! :) Also, check out the damn amp I have...5 channel "all in one" pain in the neck. It works GREAT on the mids and highs, but I know I'll need new with the 10's. I only have room for ONE more amp, so it'd need to be a good 2 channel for both subs. I hear the american stuff is good for sub amps. That true? Also...what about caps. I know a little about what a cap does, but not much. I know it works with the sub, but not how :) So what would this do for me, if anything? Also, what's the most I should pay for a good digital cap? Will I need one per sub or one overall? Give me any input guys...and if you have pics of 2 10's installed, post em up! I need room for my strut tower bar...that's the WHOLE reason I'm doing this. My 12" box blocks it :(
